Prosperity Candle

With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to carve those jack o’lanterns and light those candles. Introducing, Prosperity Candle.

Prosperity Candle is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), B-Corp certified for social and environmental sustainability, and for two years in a row was awarded B Lab’s “Best for the World” social enterprise!

Now all of this sounds wonderful, but what about their candles? Light one, and feel your stress melt away because these candles are:

  • Hand poured
  • Vegan
  • Feature Reusable Containers
  • Made with quality ingredients
  • Creating opportunity

Prosperity Candle started in Iraq and expanded to Haiti, but today, most of the candles are made by refugees in our very own USA! Specifically, the candle-makers in Easthampton, MA are female refugees seeking employment opportunities. Through their various product offerings they have touched the lives of women in over 20 countries. Some women stay for years, while others work as they finish school before pursuing long-term careers.

Now, about the materials. Every candle is hand poured by a female artisan using the highest quality waxes, 100% cotton or wooden wicks, and premium fragrances made with essential oils from botanical extracts. It’s all skin-safe and phthalate free without using any dyes or enhancers.

Lastly, Prosperity Candle doesn’t believe in throwing things away, so once the wax is gone, you have a unique fair-trade vessel from across the globe. Reuse it to hold jewelry, another candle, or plant something new. They believe in a fresh start for the woman who make their candles...and for you. That’s two kinds of happy!

Whether it’s for the holiday season or just because you want another candle, shop Prosperity Candle and join their movement of change, one flame at a time.
